In March 2026 we rebuilt Terzo Roofing's website and published the first-30-day results. The honest question with any SEO case study is the one most agencies never answer: did it last, or was it a launch-week bump?

We checked back at the end of May — nearly 90 days in. The wins didn't just hold. They compounded.

The Page-1 Footprint More Than Doubled

At day 25, Terzo had 51 keywords ranking on page one of Google. By the end of May — about day 80 — that number had grown to 122, with 68 of them sitting in the top 3 positions.

Homeowners Seeing Terzo on Google (Monthly)

The new page-one terms are the ones that turn into jobs: roof repair (#1), roofing services (#1), roof replacement (#1.6), "roofing company near me" (#2), "roof repair near me" (#3.2), and "roofer near me" (#5.3) — plus neighborhood searches Mike could never reach before, like Simonton, Elyson, Cane Island, Brookshire, and Nottingham Country.

Visibility Held at Its New High

March's launch surge wasn't a one-month spike. Homeowner impressions have held between 6,000 and 7,500 every single month since — and the most recent rolling 30 days hit a new high of 242 per day (3.7x the old site). Across the full 90 days, Terzo has averaged 3.3x the visibility and 2.6x the website traffic of the old Duda site — meaning the dramatic first-month gains became the new normal, not a flash in the pan.

Even better: a fresh wave of high-volume searches — "roofing in cypress tx," "roofing katy tx," "commercial roof coatings" — is now surfacing on page two. That's the leading edge of the next climb. Those impressions are showing up before the clicks do; it's exactly how the first 51 keywords behaved right before they broke onto page one.

Now Winning the Map Pack — Where the Calls Actually Come From

For a local roofer, the Google Map pack is where the phone actually rings. We've tracked Terzo's position across a grid of search points around Katy and greater Houston since the first scan on April 30. Thirty days later (May 25), coverage of the high-intent "near me" searches had doubled — from 15% of the map grid to 31%.

Same business, same location — 30 days of Google Business Profile work in between. Each dot is a search point on a grid across Katy and west Houston: green = a top-3 finish, amber = ranked 4–10, red = 11–20, gray = not in the top 20. The blue dot is Terzo's location. Watch the grid fill in.

"roofing company near me" — 4% → 32% of the area

Near-invisible at the end of April. A month later, Terzo is surfacing across Katy, Brookshire, and Fulshear.

"roofer near me" — 28% → 44% of the area

Already Terzo's strongest term — and it still widened its lead, with ranks climbing into the top 10 (amber) closer to home.

"roof repair near me" — 24% → 32% of the area

More search points covered, and more of them in the top 10 — the difference between being seen and being chosen.

The standout movers were the searches homeowners actually type when they need a roofer now:

  • "roofing company near me" — 4% → 32% of the area (an 8x jump)
  • "roofer near me" — 28% → 44%
  • "roof repair near me" — 24% → 32%
  • "roofing contractor" — 4% → 16%

Across all 12 search types we track, average map coverage rose from 17% to 23% in a single month — early innings, and pointed in one direction. This came from a ground-up Google Business Profile rebuild: an empty description became a complete veteran-owned story, 19 services were rewritten, 6 products were added, and the photo library grew from 109 to 120 — all reinforcing the 5.0 rating across 35 reviews.

The Takeaway

The 90-day check-in is the part most agencies never show you, because most of the time there's nothing to show. Here, the first-month numbers weren't a launch-week bump that faded: page-one keywords doubled, map-pack coverage for "near me" searches doubled, and visibility held at 3.7x the old site — month after month.

That's the whole point of building on a fast, AEO-optimized foundation instead of a drag-and-drop site. It compounds. Read how it started →
